DESCRIPTION:San Francisco Bay Area Eckhart Tolle Silent Local Group\n\nCome
  to a pleasant and peaceful gathering with people of all ages interested in
  Eckhart's work. It is a great way to release the tensions of the week and 
 enjoy meeting like-spirited people in an open\, friendly\, and mellow space
 .  \n\nI propose to initiate a silent 10 minute meditation pre & post the v
 ideo recording\, followed by the video recordings related topic focused ope
 n discussion.  I do see that this varies from a traditional Silent Meditati
 on Group & borders closely to a social/gathering event.  Thusly\, I will co
 mply & enforce  the format of the silent meditation meeting & close w/ the 
 social/gathering discussion. \n\nWe will drink varying beverages\, have sil
 ent meditation together\, and watch a selection from another wonderful Eckh
 art Tolle video recording on DVD\, namely: \n\n  The Flowering of the Human
  Consciousness  \, disc 1 (1:08)\, chapters 1-8\; (1) The nature of presenc
 e\, (2) The emerging of Consciousness\, (3) Forgetting your name\, (4) True
  self knowledge\, (5) The delusion of the future\, (6) Our longing for free
 dom\, (7) Overcoming the need to label & (8) The spaciousness around all th
 ings. \n\nOur meeting will take place in my apt in San Leandro\,  a spaciou
 s living\, dining room.  I am a 10 minute walk from the San Leandro BART st
 ation.  I would also provide a shuttle to & from BART\, as it is dark early
  in the evening\, and I'd ensure a safe passage.\n\nI have 8 chairs\, but f
 eel free to bring a mat or pillow if you would like to sit on the floor dur
 ing the silent meditation.  \n\nThis meeting will run about 2 hours. \n\nAl
 l are welcome! \n\n(I live on the second &  third floors of a secure commun
 ity & am not wheelchair accessible.) \n\n********************* \nI only hav
 e Japanese herb\, green & chamomile teas.  If you have a favorite\, bring i
 t to share with others.  Sadly\, I don't have a collection of tea cups\, bu
 t have ample glasses that might suffice. If you have a Tibetan Bell to soun
 d please bring that.  I will provide the flowers & vase.  If you have somet
 hing that you think the group would benefit from\, please bring that to sha

 nd out further instructions to get though the locked secure gate w/ a code.
