Come to a pleasant and peaceful gathering with people of all ages interested in Eckhart's work. It is a great way to release the tensions of the week and enjoy meeting like-spirited people in a friendly, quiet space.

This is a two-part meeting:

The first part will be done in silence. Participants are asked to enter the meeting space in silence, as silent meditation will open the meeting. The first silent meditation will last 10-15 minutes. We will then continue in silence as we listen to audio selections from Eckhart TV. After the audio selections, there will be another 10-15 minute silent meditation.

The second part of the meeting will be a discussion circle. The discussion circle is intended to be a "satsang," or "spiritual talk." This will give participants an opportunity to connect and share what has come up for them during meditation or from listening to the audio. During the discussion circle, participants are encouraged to speak from prescence, and are asked to avoid critique, judgement, and discussion arising from ego/mind.

Our meeting will take place at the San Francisco Public Library (Main) in the Sycip Conference Room on the 4th floor.

100 Larkin Street (at Grove)

The Sycip room is located next to the Page Desk on the fourth floor of the Main Library.
(Enter 30 Grove Street, proceed to stairs or elevators)

Feel free to bring a mat or pillow if you would like to sit on the floor during the silent meditation.

This meeting will run about 2 hours.

All are welcome!

This meeting is not a library-sponsored program.

    •  i very much enjoyed the meeting. For me, i like to hear from others about their experiences and thoughts. What is fascinating is that Eckhart's ideas are applicable for all of us, even though we are all so different in our backgrounds and life experiences.

A so needed and welcomed place (& time) to come together & share Eckhart Tolle's Spiritual Philosophy. It was a place to be grounded, focused and present. Interesting enough, THAT was the topic, "Being in the Now". We meditate, then we listen to a session, then we meditate, then we share. We bring (to the "place") what we have. We listen, share, gain insight, & we hear what we need. Interesting & factually true, we take alway more than we bring, as that is the magic of "these" type of groups. It's kinda like an osmosis of sorts, as Tolle (metaphorically) explains: "In a fireplace it takes so very little energy for a fresh log when placed close to a strongly burning one, to acquire that energy, after all, it is the same flame".
