Come to a pleasant and peaceful gathering with people of all ages interested in Eckhart Tolle's work.
It is a great way to release the tensions of the week and enjoy meeting like-spirited people in a friendly, quiet space.
We will listen to a selection from an Eckhart Tolle audio recording (or read passages from one of his books), have some discussion on the topic, then have a silent meditation together.
The garden is at the intersection of Bowling Green Drive and Middle Drive East in GGP PLEASE NOTE: If there is a threat of rain on the day of the meeting, the meeting may be canceled. Any cancellations will be posted to our website the night before or the morning of the meeting.
Let's meet on the street corner (above AIDS Memorial Grove) and have a lite picnic, listen to some passages (tapes or book to read) from one of Tolle's books and discuss it.
Then we can take a short walk down into the grotto - there is a circular stone seating area for up to 25 people.
WE WILL LISTEN TO A TOLLE TAPE / PICNIC / DISCUSS FIRST THEN HAVE THE MEDITATION SECOND
IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND ONLY ONE PORTION OF THE MEETUP - PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO
The garden is in Golden Gate park so there are lot's of transportation options, the garden was built and is maintained by volunteers, this solemn spot offers a fantastic chance for spiritual reflection in a totally natural setting!
We will meet here weekly over the summer and may even want to meet there year round. It's a beautiful, peaceful, quiet option that allows for before or after conversational portions for those who desire it.
Please bring a blanket, mat, or chair for the comfort during both "reading/listening/discussion portion" and the meditation portion of the meetup.
If you would, please also bring some lite snacks - crackers, fruit, veggies, water, juice, plates, napkins, toothpicks, plastic ware, and similar picnic-type items that can be enjoyed by all.
Please bring a light jacket - as it's always at least 10 degrees cooler in the heavily treed grove than the sunny sections of the park.

I really enjoyed the last one - Sunday mornings don't always work for me; I will be there if I can make it! :-)
